  Problem: Tried to read 2015 Audi q5 BCM2 with the new style  Audi BCM2 adapter v2  and  vvdi key tool plus . The device ask me for 12v power supply. But the new adapter does not have orange bcm2 adapter, thats where you plug the 12v. Error: 12V unconnect ot adapter connect line error. use DB15 cable. Solution: You don’t need any other adapters, only this cable to adapter and tool. Voltage comes from tool to adapter. If need, you can put charger cable normally to keytool plus. Those new version adapters works only with keytool plus and  multiprog . This one don’t a 12v power it just plug and read. This is a version 2. Because new Audi BCM2 adapter does not need nothing between tool and bcm2 adapter. You need only this cable between adapter and tool. Update your tool and use the correct menu option . There is an option that says ‘Adapter new generation’.

  Problem: Try to read Range Rover Vogue 2017 KVM with  Xhorse vvdi key tool plus  and  XNDP16  JLR KVM solder free adapter. Cracking keeps failing – tried force unlock too . Possible reason: 1. Bad connection. 2. Wrong MCU choice. 3. Dead MCU. ID is FFFF.   Suggestion: Clean the contact points.  It shows chip id: FFFF so need to clean touch points and reattach adapter as for sure some pins do not have connection. Clean conformal coating off and look closely to make sure that all the pins are correctly placed. It is not getting a good connection. Check and see if there is a coating over the specific points on the PCB. If there is and it is thick enough, the pins won’t penetrate and you won’t get a reading. Then try crack a few times. If still fails to crack after multiple attempts, try  test options 72 and 74 .   Problem: Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus  failed to read Porsche Macan 2015 BCM 5M48H using the  XDNP17  Porsche BCM solder free adapter. Error cracking failed: check the adapter and module connection. Chip crack Fail. Unknown error. Any solution? Solution: Here are possible solutions: 1). Check the jumper. Sometimes, if you put the jumper wrong, you will get this error.   2). Had the same issue 1 time. Gotta clean off the connection points really good. To bare metal. Then make sure you are in the exact holes they are supposed to go into. 3). Try more attempts. If still has crack failed error, do as the key tool plus suggested. Try  testing function 72 and 74 and report .

  Problem: Today I try to make new key for Audi A6 2022 with  Xhorse VVDI MLB tool . I successfully made dealer key but when I try to program key to car with VVDI2 or  Key Tool Plus . I get a message key programming error. Any solution?     Solution: If opening original key board and still getting same message you need a tool to unlcok SFD and then proceed with key learning. Some 2021+ VW Audi Porsche MLB models need to unlock SFD security gateway with 3rd party tools. Then you have 90 minutes to finish key learning after SFD unlocking.

  Problem: Tried to program BMW CAS3 semi-smart keys, the Remote start the car by inserting it into the slot but failed to lock and unlock with the remote, however the car frequency & my added remote frequency are the same!!!  Xhorse  VVDI Key Tool Plus  gave an error: low power frequency . Any idea? Solution: Difference between FSK and ASK. There are two types of 315Mhz for BMW CAS remote, 315Mhz(FSK) and 315LP Mhz(ASK), the ASK model mostly use it Japan. There two types of 315 keys regular and low power the LP ones your tool is saying to use the LP one. For low power you need FSK. You  need 315 fsk.  Ensure proper fcc id or it will not communicate via remote.

  Problem: VW Touran 2019 mqb48 add key with  xhorse vvdi key tool plus . I could read by obd but all menu not working so I removed dash. Processor is A2C53288154 and I can’t find any diagram of it. Key also isn’t readable by mqb48 MLB tool as here is also no diagram. Any solution? Solution: Its immo 4.5 type. There wont be any diagrams for key. 2019 VW Transporter has the same problem. For this dash type, like a VW T6, it’s a nec3425 with external eeprom 24c64.  No tool supports this dash for immo or key yet . Only SMOK releases a version. You can’t read data of that firmware’s 2050 fw. Onwards is locked and you can’t do eeprom service mode. Only possible way is to buy immo data.

  Procedure to program BMW EWS4 key with xhorse vvdi key tool and EWS4 adapter: 1). Read eeprom. 2). Make dealer key ( pcf7935  or Universal  xhorse xt27a  super chip transponder generated as vw id33), Don’t write file back to EWS!!! This system no need to write back. Put everything back, start the car. Job done.   Tips to install the  Xhorse EWS4 adapter  with  key tool plus : Xhorse adapters for reading dumps are quite reliable if you know how to use them. Before installing the EWS4 adapter, the contacts should be cleaned several times. After installing the adapter, you need to read the dump 2–3 times and save it after each read. Then you compare all the dumps you have read (Xhorse Key Tool Plus has this feature). If they are identical, you can proceed to create a dealer key and write the generated file back to the EWS.
