  Question:   What tool is able to program VW Golf 7 MQB48? Can I use   Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max PRO , is it possible?   Answer VVDI Key Tool Max PRO does not support this function. Instead, it’ more recommended to use  Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad  to program VW MQB48 IMMO. Before that, you’ll have to activate  VAG MQB48 License  and disassemble MQB instrument from vehicle.   Apart from programming MQB48 NEC35xx add key and all keys lost, VVDI Key Tool Plus also allows to read immo status, repair mileage and modify immo data.   Problem: Tested on a JCI D70F3529 polo cluster today using  VVDI key tool plus  with  VAG MQB license  activated. It was able to read the immo data ok which took about 4.5 mins and then it sent the data off and it got processed online which took about a minute. Everything looked good but when you load the file (which is about 3.2meg) I get an error saying “this file is not supported by current module”. Solution: If had this error, better post serial number and take a video of decode your dump, so xhorse engineer will check how you doing the calculation.   Mostly this is because wrong file is loaded. you select wrong file.   New positive feedback of   xhorse vvdi key tool plus   pad. It has successfully coded a 2020 Ford Transit ID49 Hitag Pro using   Xhorse MQB smart remote .   Procedure: 1. Generate ID49 remote with  vvdi mini key tool  using MQB smart remote under this option (Transit 2016+ ID49 433) 2. Program smart key with key tool plus. Menu path: Ford – China- model selection – Transit – Add key – Ignition on. 1% password is being read, wait patiently, it takes 4-5 minutes on average. If failed to read password, turn on ignition and repeat from the beginning. As soon as it starts, the password could not be deciphered Err – 15, it gave the error again, I switched the ignition off and open the device, I remove the OBD. Starts again, it reads from 1% to 100%. Then turn on ignition with the key to be programmed, coding ok. Then add more keys. Also did a Transit 2018 with Xhorse key as well.

  New Test report: successfully add a new spare key (ID49 proximity) to Ford Transit 2020 using xhorse vvdi key tool plus.   First of all prepared xs xhorse smart remote as other remotes are not suitable only xs. We know only MQB key works on ID49 for Ford.  And the vw key style it’s much stronger than the ford key. Generate  MQB smart remote  with the  vvdi mini key tool  under Transit 2016+ ID49 433Mhz. Connect the  xhorse key tool plus  to car, turned on the ignition with the original key, the device process security access (about 5 minutes), inserted a new key into the ignition. Adding successfully. I don’t care what the key looks like, as long as it work all functions. If a customer wants an original Ford key, I do keep in stock. But the customers will always go for the cheapest option.
