The GT110 is one of a series of test platforms designed by Godiag to emulate the immobilizer systems of VAG (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat) vehicles. Specifically, the Godiag GT110 is engineered for Generation 4 immobilizers.
The device itself is a compact box that serves as a surrogate for the car’s dashboard. Its key components include:
- An Ignition Ring (Coil): This acts as the vehicle’s transponder antenna, allowing the platform to read and write to key chips.
- A Transponder Slot: A dedicated place to insert a transponder chip separately if needed.
- Dashboard Connector: A specific cable (referred to as a “Pogo pin” connector) that plugs directly into the vehicle’s instrument cluster.
- Power and Ignition Controls: Buttons to simulate turning the platform’s power on/off and switching the ignition on/off.
- OBD-II and Power Ports: It features a port for a 12V power supply and an OBD-II connector for direct linking to a programmer like the Xhorse VVDI Key Plus or VVDI2.
Why Use a Test Platform?
These devices are essentially simulated ignition locks and immobilizer antennae. They allow a technician to:
- Work on the car’s instrument cluster on a bench, away from the vehicle.
- Service customers remotely. A client can ship their instrument cluster and door lock (for blade cutting) to the specialist, who then programs the key and returns everything by mail.
- Test and repair clusters efficiently without repeatedly going to the car.
The Primary Use Case: Remote Key Programming
The most significant advantage of the GT110 is the ability to perform key-related jobs remotely. Imagine a customer from 1,000 km away contacts you with a Golf VI and no keys. Instead of turning down the job or traveling, you can provide a solution:
Instruct the customer to remove and ship you two components: the driver’s door lock (to cut a new key blade) and the instrument cluster.
Using the GT110 on your bench, you can connect the customer’s instrument cluster to the platform.
You can then perform a full key-loss procedure—reading the EEPROM, generating a service mode dump, preparing dealer keys, and learning them into the immobilizer—all without the car being present.
Once done, you ship back the instrument cluster and the newly programmed key. The customer reinstalls them, and the car starts.
This capability dramatically expands your service area and makes previously impossible jobs highly feasible.

Demonstrating the Test Platform
We demonstrate the GODIAG GT110 test platform. By connecting the instrument cluster and a power source to the platform, he was able to:
Power on the cluster independently.
Simulate ignition on/off cycles.
Read immobilizer status.
Successfully program additional keys to the cluster entirely on the workbench, proving its utility for remote jobs.
